Dr Who fan title for Faber
23.11.12 | Joshua Farrington
Faber is marking today’s 49th anniversary of "Doctor Who" with the announcement of a new book celebrating the Time Lord’s escapades.
Adventures with the Wife in Space is a memoir of super-fan Neil Perryman, who created the website wifeinspace.com, documenting his efforts to make his sceptical wife watch every single episode of the long-running BBC sci-fi show.
Hannah Griffiths at Faber bought all rights for the book, which will be published to coincide with the show’s 50th anniversary next year.
Perryman said: “When I talked my wife into watching every episode of Doctor Who with me —even the ones that don’t exist anymore—I never dreamt that the results would be published by Faber and Faber. I am so thrilled.”
His wife Sue said: “I can’t believe it either. I’m terrified.”
