26.06.12 | Charlotte Williams
Chris Downham, financial director at Atlantic Books, is to join Anthony Cheetham’s start-up Head of Zeus as managing director and chief financial officer. Downham will take up the post on 1st August.
Meanwhile Amélie Burchell has been appointed to the role of sales director, and will begin on 1st July. Burchell moves from the position of sales manager of Murdoch Books UK, having previously spent eight years with HarperCollins as sales executive and key accounts manager.
In two further appointments, Clemence Jacquinet has joined the publisher as managing editor and production controller after working in a variety of editorial roles at Everyman and Knopf, and Lisa Brännström joins the publisher as rights director at the end of July, moving from her post as senior agent with Andrew Nurnberg Associates. A native of Sweden, Brännström will also advise the company on acquisitions from the Nordic countries.
Cheetham said: "Now we are eleven. The new members of the team will find a warm welcome at our new offices in Clerkenwell where we have now acquired over 120 titles, including 21 new fiction and non-fiction series."
Head of Zeus’ address is Clerkenwell House, 45-47 Clerkenwell Green, London EC1R OHT.
