Dow takes over as chair of the Children's PA Group
20.01.10 | Caroline Horn
Francesca Dow has taken over as the new chair of the Children's PA Group following the departure of former chair Elaine McQuade from her position as m.d. of Scholastic UK. Mike Richards of Egmont becomes vice-chair. Dow said she would seek look to work more collaboratively with schools, libraries and retailers in the coming months.
She said: "I'm excited about the possibilities for the Children's PA group. Everything in our business is changing so fast and as a group we're keen to be proactive, not reactive. Let's use our combined power and influence as publishers to harness more effectively the very good initiatives that are taking place in retail, schools and libraries. This will only help everything that we each have to do, as individual publishers."
She added: "We're going to be asking lots of questions - and talking about how we can use our joint expertise and contacts to the best possible effect."
