15.08.12 | Katie Allen
The second Guernsey Literary Festival is to have a particular focus on digital, with experts from Random House, Profile Books and Channel 4 speaking.
The festival takes place from 13th-16th September on the Channel Island of Guernsey, and will includes authors and poets including Michael Morpurgo, Marina Lewycka, Carol Ann Duffy and Roger McGough.
The digital events lined up include a discussion of self-publishing and the impact of technology on the publishing industry with The Literary Platform’s Sophie Rochester, as well as debates with experts from Random House, Profile, Channel 4, XPT and Flow Interactive.
Children’s events will include a Poetry Slam competition and readings of classic books.
Festival director, Catriona Stares said: “We’re delighted to have developed a marvellous variety of events to give a local, national and international feel. We are extremely grateful to Barclays for its continued support as our lead sponsor.”
