Pan Macmillan has promoted Sara Lloyd to director of a restructured digital group, incorporating audio publishing. The development means that audio publisher Ali Muirden is leaving the company.
Lloyd's new role will see her leading all digital activities across Pan Macmillan UK, including building digital publishing programmes, managing the development of company websites, and leading audio publishing "as it evolves to adapt to a digital future, reshaping and rebalancing its forward programme to reflect the move to download and away from physical formats".
Other changes within the Pan Mac digital team include the appointment of James Long, previously of Nature Publishing Group, to head of digital development, and the promotion of Michael Bhaskar to digital editor. Audio editorial co-ordinator Becky Folkard-Ward will join the digital team.
Of Muirden's departure, m.d. Anthony Forbes Watson said: "Ali has worked at Pan Macmillan for almost 20 years and she will be much missed by her many friends and colleagues."
