De Courcy joins Head of Zeus
01.01.70 | Katie Allen
Head of Zeus has announced the appointment of Rosie de Courcy as senior editor.
De Courcy will have a specific role to acquire and commission new series fiction.
Anthony Cheetham, who set up Head of Zeus in January and published its first titles in July, said: "When we worked together in an earlier incarnation Rosie was responsible for bringing more than 40 national bestsellers to the list and 16 of these sold upwards of a million copies." Chris Downham, the company's m.d., agreed, saying: "I am delighted that Rosie will be working with us to bolster our fiction list. Her track record is fantastic and I look forward to working with her."
De Courcy said: "The Head of Zeus team is brimming with energy, creativity and intellect. That, combined with a strong vision and leadership, is a wonderful recipe for the creation of bestsellers. I am very excited to be joining them."
De Courcy was previously married to Anthony Cheetham. They co-founded Century with Gail Rebuck and Peter Roche, and Orion with Roche, now c.e.o. De Courcy most recently helped set up Preface alongside Trevor Dolby.
