Dauncey launches publishing company

Phil Dauncey, formerly UK and exports sales director for North Parade Publishing, has launched his own publishing venture, Really Decent Books, based in Bath.

Dauncey, who has worked in children's publishing for 16 years, said: "I have decided to take the plunge and begin publishing 10 to 15 titles a year for the baby, toddler and pre-school markets."

 

The concept books for babies and toddlers will feature photography as well as animation, and will extend into reference books further down the line, said Dauncey. The first series, Piano Playtime and My Big Book, will publish in the autumn. 

 

Dauncey will work with a team of freelancers. Really Decent Books will also be involved in packaging books and creating stationery, although its primary focus will be on publishing, he said.
