Agency Curtis Brown is launching a site for aspiring authors, curtisbrowncreative.co.uk.
The website is aimed at aspiring writers looking to find out more about the path to publication.
On Saturday (September 22nd) the company will be holding a Discovery Day at Foyles in Charing Cross Road, with a panel of agents scrutinising novelist's first pages and a 30-second pitch.
All of the 250 slots were snapped up in two days after the event was announced, and they are expecting a queue of people hoping for wildcard entry.
There will also be a discussion panel featuring agents and Tim Glencross, a former Curtis Brown Creative student who whose first novel has now been sold to Fourth Estate.
Anna Davis, an agent at Curtis Brown and founder of Curtis Brown Creative, said: "We want to do much more to work with writers.
"It's really evolving the way we work to be proactive and find new talent."
The website will have three main sections, covering the agency's writing school, which has already run three novel writing courses, with more events lined up; a submissions portal, for easier submission and feedback; and a writing room, which will be filled with industry news, tips, interviews, and live webchats with the agents.
Davis added: "This is all about Curtis Brown opening its doors and engaging much more directly with new writers."
