Annual crime-writing festival CrimeFest is set to launch an e-book award and new crime fiction website.
The award will celebrate the best crime e-book of the year, considering titles published for the first time in 2009, with the winner announced at next year's Crimefest that will take place in May. Submission guidelines will be announced at the end of the year, but only titles submitted by the publisher or by a commercially published author are eligible. The festival's awards already include the Sounds of Crime award, sponsored by Audible.
The new website, alongside the site dedicated to the convention, will include information on upcoming publications, competitions, interviews, reviews, competitions and news about the best in British crime fiction and drama. It is set to launch later in the year.
