Cory Doctorow to Titan
01.02.13 | Katie Allen
Titan Books has acquired three novels by science-fiction novelist, blogger and technology activist Cory Doctorow.
Fiction editor Cath Trechman bought UK and Commonwealth rights in the three novels, including the sequel to Little Brother, via Heather Baror-Shapiro at the Baror Agency.
The Rapture of the Nerds, a "cyber-punk pop culture novel" co-written with SF author Charles Stross will be released in March 2013, with Doctorow's Pirate Cinema, a London-set dystopian novel lined up for May 2013. In the autumn, Titan will publish Homeland, the sequel to Doctorow's New York Times-bestseller Little Brother and set two years after its events.
Trechman said: "I have long been a fan of Cory’s writing so I’m thrilled to be bringing these titles to a UK audience. The Rapture of the Nerds is a fantastic collaboration between Charles Stross and Cory Doctorow: sharp, funny and hugely entertaining.”
Doctorow is the co-editor of website Boing, Boing and has written for the Guardian, New York Times and Wired among others.
