Corvus buys two more from Ferris
22.11.11 | Graeme Neill
Corvus has bought another two books from Gordon Ferris, who has been a bestselling author on Amazon's Kindle for the publisher.
Atlantic c.e.o. and publisher Toby Mundy bought world English language rights to two titles in Ferris' Douglas Brodie crime series from Tina Betts at Andrew Mann. Corvus published The Hanging Shed as an e-book on Christmas Day 2010 and said it has gone on to sell more than 175,000 copies across all formats. The second title in the series, Bitter Water, will be published in April 2012. The books in this most recent deal will be published in 2013 and 2014.
Mundy said: "It can take many years for crime writers to build a readership, but Gordon Ferris has already developed a huge and enthusiastic following with The Hanging Shed. Like his previous Brodie novels, these next two will also be set in Glasgow in the late 1940 and will see Brodie’s character develop rather exciting ways. He’s a key author on our Corvus list, and we’re delighted to have acquired two new titles with him."
