01.01.70 | Benedicte Page
Iraq-born author and film-maker Hassan Blasim, twice-winner of the English PEN Writers in Translation Award, is to make a UK trip in December to promote his latest collection, The Iraqi Christ (Comma Press).
Blasim will do events at the Literary and Philosophical Library in Newcastle (10th December), the Burgess Foundation in Manchester (11th) and in the Mosaic Rooms, London (12th).
Blasim, whose provocative and critical writings explore exile, immigration and the story of his post-invasion Iraq, is now based in Finland.
