Colman Getty has won the Public Relations Consultants Association media relations award for its work on promoting The Lost Man Booker Prize.
The award was announced at the organisation's annual dinner in London last night. The Lost Man Booker Prize was launched to honour titles published in 1970 when, because of a rule change, authors missed out on the opportunity to scoop the literary accolade. It was won by JG Farrell for his novel Troubles.
Colman Getty worked on the campaign with Man Booker, publishers, retailers and the public. The agency's c.e.o. Dotti Irving said: "It is rare that media coverage alone can be attributed to the success of any PR campaign. However that was undoubtedly the case with our Lost Man Booker Prize campaign and we’re simply delighted to have won this award."
