Random House UK has launched its first digital consumer campaign for Christmas on dedicated microsite www.giftabook.co.uk. The site links to Amazon for book purchases.
The site offers recommendations for particular recipients (gifts for her, for him, for kids, for teens and stocking fillers), plus recommendations by popular gift categories (books of the year, humour, cookery, autobiographies).
The campaign will be supported by online display advertising, and social media targeting.
A Random House spokesperson said: "We know from our consumer gift researchand insight that people really want recommendations when they are shopping. Giftabook.co.uk showcases over 100 specially selected titles, recommended by our experts and booklovers at Random House, that readers of all ages and with varied interests can enjoy."
The campaign comes after publishers including Penguin and Osprey ran "Black Friday" consumer offers from their websites last week.
