Choc Lit has bought world rights in self-published author Kirsty Ferry’s adult fantasy The Memory of Snow and another new book directly from the author.
Ferry won the English Heritage/Belsay Hall National Creative Writing competition in 2009.
Ferry is the second self-published author that Choc Lit has snapped up recently, following the signing of Melanie Hudson in November.
Ferry has described the deal as “better than a white Christmas”.
Choc Lit will relaunch The Memory of Snow in spring 2014. Ferry's new book, a time-slip novel, is scheduled for publication in autumn 2014.
