Sphere has signed a “charming second chance love story” by Sue Watson which the publisher has said will be a “focus title” for the company at London Book Fair.
Lucy Malagoni, editorial director for Sphere Fiction, acquired world rights to We’ll Always Have Paris from Hannah Ferguson at Hardman Swainson.
Lucy Malagoni said: “Everyone remembers their first love, but what happens if you were to get a second chance at a happy ending almost fifty years later? I was completely drawn to the warmth and wit of Sue’s writing and I defy anyone to not be captivated and moved by Rosie and Peter’s story.”
Watson said: “I have loved working with the Sphere team on this novel, Lucy Malagoni’s insight, energy and sheer enthusiasm for this project have made it a pleasure to work on. After all, who hasn’t wondered where their first love is now, and ‘what if’?”
We’ll Always Have Paris will be published in the UK later this year.
