Charlaine Harris sells 1m Kindle e-books
12.05.11 | Graeme Neill
Charlaine Harris, author of the Sookie Stackhouse series of novels, has become the latest writer to sell more than one million Kindle e-books through Amazon.
The author, who is published by Gollancz in the UK, joins Stieg Larsson, James Patterson and Nora Roberts in those who have hit the digital milestone.
The most recent book in the series, Dead Reckoning, was published last week.
David Naggar, Kindle Content vice-president, said: "All Charlaine Harris' books, and in particular her Sookie Stackhouse series, are favorites with our Kindle customers, and the great sales of the 11th book in this series Dead Reckoning have helped push Harris past one million books sold. We're happy to welcome her to the Kindle Million Club."
The Sookie Stackhouse series has been adapted as TV series "True Blood". Harris is also the author of the Harper Connelly, Aurora Teagarden and Lily Bard mystery series.

And how many millions of actual paper books has she sold? A lot more than a million I bet. 92% of books are still sold as physical books. This is all smoke and mirrors to make Amazon richer and writers poorer. Stop the madness this isn't progress.
