Buried River Press has signed two new novels from US author Laura Kalpakian.
Managing director Gill Jackson signed British rights from the Juliet Burton Literary Agency in Three Strange Angels and The Music Room.
Three Strange Angels, set in the 1950s, follows the impact of a writer's death on his wife sand his literary agent. It will be released in March 2015, and followed in the autumn by The Music Room, which is set in the 1960s and revolves around two girls left in the care of their eccentric violinist grandmother.
Jackson said: "We are delighted to have had the opportunity to add her to our list. She is a writer of great ability."
Buried River Press, an imprint of Robert Hale, launched in March this year.
