YA author Holly Bourne has written a novella, based on the three characters in her ‘Spinster Club’ trilogy, which will be published by Usborne in November.
And a Happy New Year? continues the story of best friends Amber, Evie and Lottie. Set during a New Year’s Eve party, the novella will allow fans to find out how the protagonists’ lives have changed since the third book in the trilogy What’s a Girl Gotta Do?, according to Usborne.
Fiction director Rebecca Hill acquired the English Language rights for the UK, Republic of Ireland and the Commonwealth (excl. Canada) from Madeleine Milburn of the Madeline Milburn Literary Agency.
Hill said: “When we sat down with Holly to talk about What’s a Girl Gotta Do?, one of the biggest questions was what happens to the girls after college. I was desperate to see them again and know what they were up to... And four months later, I did. In And a Happy New Year? Holly has written the perfect novella: packed with secrets and revelations, it is one emotional roller-coaster ride."
Usborne will publish in hardback on 1st November, priced at £8.99.
