Around 160 jobs have been axed with immediate effect at fine printers Borcombe SP today after the company looked set to go into liquidation.
The Unite union reported that workers at the business in Romsey, Hampshire were told the news in a letter sent through the post. At the time of going to press bosses at Borcombe SP were unavailable to comment.
Field said David Rubin & Partners had been named in the letter sent to workers as the company handling the closure but it was unable to confirm or deny this.
Ann Field, Unite national officer, added that workers were left still owed wages plus redundancy and holiday entitlements and that some were owed overtime pay.
