Bookaboo set to return
15.08.12 | Charlotte Williams
Children's book show "Bookaboo" is returning for a third series this autumn, as well as a Christmas special.
The third series will be a co-production between "Bookaboo" creator Lucy Goodman's Happy Films and Canada's Cite Amerique. The show will air for 28 episodes in spring 2013 on CITV in the UK and CBC in Canada, with the Christmas special to air in December.
The show is aimed at 3-6-year-olds, and will follow the format of earlier series, with a celebrity guest reading Bookaboo, the rock puppy, a story. Fourteen of the picture books will be selected from the UK and 14 from Canada.
Publishers wishing to submit their books for potential inclusion in the Christmas special or the new series should send two copies to Clare Fleming, 27 York Road, Teddington, Middlesex, TW11 8SL, and PDFs of the cover and insides to polly@nutshellmedialtd.co.uk. The deadline for submissions is Monday 20th August.
