Autumn Publishing has acquired the UK rights for 12 books based on CiTV character Olly The Little White Van.
The children’s publishing division of Bonnier will release the books in September in four different formats—as chunky board books and sound books aimed at pre-schoolers, and car-shaped storybooks and activity books for older children.
Lyn Coutts, publishing director for Autumn Publishing, said: “Olly’s combination of witty, exciting stories, high quality design and a strong developmental focus fits perfectly with our own approach to children’s publishing. We are thrilled to be asked to take this delightful character and series into book form. We are sure the books, like the show, will be a big hit.”
"Olly The Little White Van" is produced by UK-based Ideas at Work and Blink Animation Studios and the character is voiced by Justin Fletcher. It follows the animated adventures of Olly and his driver Stan.
Henry Becket, chief enthusiast at Ideas At Work, said: “We were attracted to Autumn Publishing by their strong track record in bringing quality books across a number of formats to a large market and their support for the sort of developmental aims that underpin the Olly series.”
