B&N to launch My Little Pony Nook e-books
29.08.12 | Lisa Campbell
Barnes & Noble has formed its first partnership with Hasbro to create My Little Pony e-books for the company’s Nook tablet and colour devices.
The 11 titles are priced between $3.99-$4.99 and feature B&N’s Read To Me technology.
Five are digital versions of print books by Hasbro and its colouring and licensee Bendon, three are e-book versions of enhanced storybook apps created under Hasbro’s partnership with Ruckus and three are digital versions of forthcoming print titles published by Reader’s Digest.
Margie Chan-Yip, vice-president of Global Publishing with Hasbro, said: “We are thrilled to bring the fun adventures of My Little Pony to the Nook. The globally popular brand has experienced tremendous growth and the excitement has consumers seeking new, meaningful ways to engage with their favourite pony characters.”
The titles will be available through B&N’s Nook Kid Library and the publisher said it also plans to work with B&N on future e-books from Hasbro properties.
