Blog-to-book title for Collins

Collins has acquired the rights to a blog-to-book title by Stan Cattermole. Jenny Heller at Collins bought world rights from Tim Bates at Pollinger for Bete de Jour . . . An Ugly Man's guide to Life, Love and Happiness.

Bete de Jour will be published in hardback in June 2009. The book comes from a popular blog of the same name which was started under the pseudonym Stan Cattermole in August 2007.

Heller said: "Stan Cattermole is one of the most exciting, new and edgy literary talents I’ve come across in a very long time. He’s right up there with Augusten Burroughs.”
