Blink Publishing, a new adult non-fiction imprint of the Bonnier Publishing Group, is to publish a book by prominent British YouTube star, 20 year-old Alfie Deyes.
Deyes’ PointlessBlog, which he has been running for five years, has 2.6m subscribers and an average five million views per month. His book, titled The Pointless Book, is part activity book and part journal. It contains a mix of games, pranks, jokes and challenges.
The book will feature a free downloadable app so that readers can interact with Deyes as they make their way through the book. There will be linked hashtags and a social media campaign across multiple platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest for fans to share their experience of the book in real time and also see how Deyes got on with some of the challenges and games.

Being able to offer Alfie’s fans a tangible extension of his brand alongside an accompanying app is a really exciting move in publishing, and with all the associated hashtags readers can interact with each other while completing the challenges in the book.”
Blink Publishing will publish The Pointless Book on 4th September.
