Bertrams opens Abu Dhabi office
19.04.12 | Lisa Campbell
Bertrams has opened an office in Abu Dhabi to serve the middle east market.
The manager of the branch, Ahmed Yasser, is tasked with sourcing business for the wholesaler in the region.
Bertrams managing director Graeme Underhill told The Bookseller: “A contact of Smiths News, our parent company, indicated there was an opportunity in that region for a book wholesaler to go in and sell books there, so that’s what we have done.”
Bertrams international sales are an area of growth for the company, which recently had a reshuffle of its leading management team after the merger with Dawson books was completed. The moves saw UK sales and marketing director Chris Rushby leave the business and Toby Bourne join as buying and marketing director.
