Bake Off star to Orion
13.02.13 | Charlotte Williams
Orion Children's Books has acquired a new title from one of 2012's "Great British Bake Off" contestants, Cathryn Dresser.
Commissioning editor Jenny Glencross bought world rights from Stuart Cooper at Metrostar Media in the title, Let's Bake. The book will be published in May 2014 as a full-colour photographic hardback, priced £12.99.
Orion Children’s Books described the book as "a baking book for children and parents to share . . . about having fun in the kitchen; it will centre around a seasonal theme, with occasion-based recipes, whether it be lunchbox treats, rainy-day baking, Pancake Day, or baking just because, and much more".
Glencross said: "Her warmth, enthusiasm and all-round baking knowledge are fantastic-combine that with the fact she's a busy mum of two, I couldn't think of anyone more qualified to write a fun, accessible baking book for parents and children to share."
