The Bookseller Salary and Benefits Survey 2008 has confirmed that those in publishing are paid more on average than their counterparts in bookselling and the library sector.
The survey found that those in publishing are paid an average of £26,577, while those working in libraries earn an average of £24,090. Booksellers are the worst off, earning an average of £17,500.
