Apex Publishing has acquired yet another book for publication next year, snapping up the autobiography of journalist, television presenter, author and political activist Garry Bushell.
Production and publishing manager Chris Cowlin bought world rights to Bushell On The Rampage directly from the author. Last week it was announced that the firm had signed deals for six different books, including one co-written by jailbird Charles Bronson, and a gardening book for "young men who haven't got a clue" by Chas Hodges, of Chas and Dave.
Bushell On The Rampage will be published on 11th September 2010 and will "dispel any myths" about his life. The title will be released in hardback priced at £15.99.
Cowlin said: "Although Garry's book is strong on anecdotes, his book is an open and honest account of his life, I can promise when you pick this up, you will find it hard to put down."
Bushell explained: "A lot of people will be worried about how much I've got to say about them including household names and more than one ex-newspaper editor."
Bushell has previously written books before including The World According to Garry Bushell (Metro Books) and gangster novel The Face (John Blake Publishing).
He added: "I like Apex because they produce quality books and punch above their weight. They care about what they do and get things done. I like to back the little guy against the establishment. I'm hoping that this will be the first of many books I write for them."
