Amazon customers based in London may soon be able to collect their orders from shopping centre-based lockers as opposed to waiting at home for deliveries.
According to Retail Week, the internet retailer has reached an agreement with shopping centre owner Land Securities to install the lockers in a series of London-based shopping centres, including One New Change in the City.
Amazon has already launched lockers of a similar fashion in 7-Eleven stores in the US in Seattle. Customers who want to use the locker-collection preference select that delivery option when ordering and are sent a personal code, which will enable them to open the locker and retrieve their product.
The lockers could be ready to use as soon as next week.
