AA Publishing scoops Dan Kieran
03.02.12 | Charlotte Williams
AA Publishing is continuing to acquire narrative travel titles, buying up The Idle Traveller by Dan Kieran, the co-founder and c.e.o. of crowd-funded publisher Unbound.
Editorial director Helen Brocklehurst bought world rights from Cat Ledger to The Idle Traveller: The Art of Slow Travel, with plans to publish on 1st July 2012. The foreword will be written by Kieran's co-editor of the Idler magazine, Tom Hodgkinson.
The book will look at the ideas behind travel, drawing on famous travel writers throughout the ages, and asking the question of what it means to travel.
Kieran's previous books include Crap Jobs: 100 Tales of Workplace Hell, and The Idler Book of Crap Towns.
