Picador acquires Italian tale

Picador is adding to its literary fiction list with a new title by Charles Lambert.

Sam Humphreys, senior editor at Picador, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) to Any Human Face from Isobel Dixon of Blake Friedmann. Set in Rome, the novel is based on a true story of a second-hand book dealer who decides to exhibit a collection of 30-year-old photographs he has come across—but they are seized by the police. The book is to be published as a paperback early next year.
