Rachel Cugnoni has been appointed to the newly created position of deputy publisher for CCV. Random House said that the role, reporting to CCV publisher Dan Franklin, would see Cugnoni build on her current position as Vintage publishing director to provide "an even stronger strategic publishing vision" across the CCV imprints, ensuring CCV’s literary excellence was balanced with commercial success.
Cugnoni is also to have additional responsibility for the Yellow Jersey imprint she herself launched in 1998, with editorial director Tristan Jones reporting to her. Franklin said: “Rachel has been a brilliant publishing director at Vintage, and this promotion recognises her crucial importance to CCV.” Cugnoni added: "I feel great excitement and a sense of enormous privilege in taking up the opportunity of extending my brief."
