Ibach retires as Mohrbooks m.d.

The Swiss-based literary agency Mohrbooks has announced a new management structure. Sabine Ibach has retired as managing director, but the 65-year-old will stay on as chairman of the supervisory board and will also continue to look after her stable of clients as an agent.

Sebastian Ritscher who has been part of Mohrbooks' directorial management team since 2006 and Marlis Gämperli have been appointed joint managing directors.

They head a team of seven with Ritscher responsible for sales, contracts and acquisition and Gämperli running the administrative side of the business.

Mohrbooks is one of three literary agencies based in Zurich who have been acting as sub-agents for US and UK publishers and agents for more than 50 years, selling translation rights into the German-speaking market; the other two being Paul & Peter Fritz  Literary Agency and Liepman Literary Agency.
