Robotham takes Ned Kelly
Michael Robotham has won the best novel award at this year's Ned Kelly Awards from the Crime Writers' Association of Australia.
Robotham picked up the award, which was presented at the 2008 Melbourne Writers Festival, for his novel Shatter, and other winners were Chris Womersley, who won the best first crime novel category for The Low Road, and Evan McHugh, who secured the non-fiction category with Red Centre, Dark Heart.
Marele Day won the lifetime achievement award.
