Lightning Source opens new UK facility
On-demand book manufacturer and distributor Lightning Source has opened its new UK facility, and has promoted Dave Piper to managing director of the UK operation.
According to David Taylor, president of Lightning Source, the company has grown its production space by a factor of five, "thereby allowing us to rapidly add new products and services, all of which are being developed in an increasingly close working relationship with our key customers" .
The location occupies 88,000 sq ft in Milton Keynes with a production and distribution area of approximately 60,000 sq ft.
Piper, who was previously the deputy managing director of the division, will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Lightning Source UK in addition to looking after the expansion of the UK facility.
