22.08.08 Katie Allen
Both of Orion's titles selected for this year's Richard & Judy Summer Read have been voted into the top three by readers, with Linwood Barclay's No Time for Goodbye winning and East of the Sun by Julia Gregson coming in third. In second place was Sadie Jones' The Outcast (Vintage).
Readers voted via the R&J website and on voting cards issued in bookshops and libraries for their favourite of the eight titles, which were publicised, one a week, over the eight-week campaign on R&J's television show. The winning title will arrive in stores already stickered with an "Official Winner" logo.
The winner will be announced tonight (Friday, 22nd August) on Richard & Judy's show on Channel 4. The Summer Read strand formed part of their final series for the channel. Richard & Judy move to UKTV's new channel Watch on 7th October.
