Strong start for ITV3's crime season

The ITV3 Crime Thriller season got off to a strong start on 18th August with "Profiling: Ian Rankin" attracting a peak audience of 500,000, more than 150,000 up on the slot average for ITV3, according to the channel.
ITV3 will be broadcasting five further documentaries on the other writers nominated for the ITV3 Writer's Award for Classic TV Drama. The winner will be announced at the Crime Thriller Awards on 3rd October.
During breaks in the programme, run-throughs of the shortlists for the three fiction awards—breakthrough author, international author of the year and author of the year—were broadcast, including cover shots before each advertisement break.
