Dark magic for Arrow
Kate Elton at Arrow has bought UK and Commonwealth rights in the follow-up to Lev Grossman’s Codex. The new novel is titled The Magicians and tells the story of a young man drawn by a chance encounter into a secretive and privileged world that turns out to be very dangerous.
Elton describes it as “an unputdownable roller-coaster of a book . . . both a highly intelligent novel and a completely gripping read”.
Rights were bought from Stephanie Koven at Janklow & Nesbit US, and the book will be published by Heinemann next spring, with the Arrow edition following in September.
