£72,000 for Michel

PFD c.e.o. Caroline Michel took home a salary of £72,000 for the four months from September to December 2007, CSS Stellar revealed in its annual report today. Michel joined PFD in September last year from a position as m.d. of rival agency William Morris. She was previously m.d. and publisher of HarperPress.

The report, which also showed that PFD's operating profit for 2007 was £0.4m on turnover of £9.5m, saw CSS chairman David Buchler praise Michel for her work rebuilding PFD following the departure of former directors and employees to form United Agents.

Buchler said: "I am pleased to report that despite the difficulties caused by the former PFD directors and employees Caroline has built a new executive team to run PFD. She and her team are once again attracting new clients and providing a sound base from which PFD can grow and prosper."

Earlier this month, CSS announced the sale of PFD to Andrew Neil and two City financiers, subject to shareholder approval on 7th July.

18k a month for joining a good business, watching the staff leave to set up a rival and in the process creating rather less than promising PR for her company....nice work...hey I suppose someone talented has to do it? Oh to still be in the world of the corporations and have the ability to spend your investors money so wisely.... Sounds like Andrew Neil & his chums might have got themselves a good deal....but one hopes Caroline's PR background will now allow her efforts to be a little more positively received by the 'creatives' out there......
