S&S chooses LibreDigital
25.06.08 Anna Richardson
Simon & Schuster in the US has signed a deal with LibreDigital to provide digital distribution for its electronic content.
LibreDigital will support the S&S digital warehouse, which will be the central source for all book content, supporting the publisher's e-commerce operations including the distribution of e-books and downloadable audio, book search programmes for its website SimonSays.com and external sites, and digital media platforms and marketing campaigns.
Ellie Hirschhorn, executive vice president and chief digital officer of S&S, said: “Our new digital warehouse will afford us the flexibility to syndicate our content to meet the needs of a wide variety of partners, from social networks to portals to retail sites. Our work with LibreDigital will make discovering our books easier and more convenient for readers.”
S&S is the latest in a number of publishers choosing LibreDigital. Harlequin, Bloomsbury and Hachette USA all use the company.
