Luke Johnson is believed to have made an indicative offer for Paperchase to Borders Group in the US.
Johnson, whose Risk Capital Partners owns Borders UK, is rumoured to have offered around half the £80m thought to be sought by Borders US for the division, reports The Appointment website.
