Persaud admits plagiarising for book
Psychiatrist and broadcaster Raj Persaud has admitted plagiarising material for his book From the Edge of the Couch and other articles published under his name, reports the BBC.
Persaud, who practises in south London, was appearing before a General Medical Council hearing in Manchester on Monday (16th June). The former Radio 4 presenter admitted plagiarising four articles for the 2003 book, which is published by Bantam.
But he denied that his actions were dishonest and were liable to bring his profession into disrepute.
