Borders UK appoints new head of buying
Borders UK has appointed Peter Newbould as new head of buying. Newbould, who will join the company in early August, was previously category director for healthcare at Superdrug and spent eight years at W H Smith Travel in various positions.
Borders UK c.e.o. Philip Downer said: "Peter will add real commercial strength to our buying teams at a time when we are making the biggest changes to inventory management in ten years."
Newbould added: "Borders is a fantastic brand and I look forward to working with the team. Customers want recommendation and range authority, but more than anything else they want to be inspired. Borders is well-placed to provide the very best shopping experience for books, magazines and entertainment both in stores and online."
