Former Penguin editor opens agency
The former Scottish editor of Penguin books, Judy Moir, is to open her own literary agency in Scotland, reports the Herald.
Moir left Penguin in January when the London-based publisher closed its office in Scotland, and has now former her own literary agency based in Edinburgh. She will focus on finding and developing Scottish writing talent.
During her time with Penguin, Moir helped publish James Robertson's The Testament of Gideon Mack, which was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Prize and selected for the Richard & Judy Book Club in 2006.
