Sadler new m.d. for Virgin Books

John Sadler, currently m.d. of Thomas Cook Travel Guides, has been appointed as the new m.d. of Virgin Books. Sadler, who starts at Virgin in September reporting to chairman Richard Cable, was at Thomas Cook for three years. He was previously m.d. of Lonely Planet.
Cable said his expertise in brand management would be particularly beneficial as Virgin progressed its plans for "significant" growth. Cable has been overseeing Virgin Books since former m.d. K T Forster left in December, eight months after the company's acquisition by RHG.
