Titan Books has acquired UK & Ireland rights for the official novelisation of “The X-Files: I want to Believe”, the film version of the popular Sci Fi television series.
The series, which had a run of nine seasons, was widely acclaimed, winning 16 Emmy awards, five Golden Globes, a BAFTA and more accolades. The new film version from Twentieth Century Fox is due in August.
It is set in the present day, picking up from the end of the original series, and is co-written by “The X-Files” creator Chris Carter, with original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles as paranormal expert Fox Mulder and former partner Dana Scully.
Published on 29th July, The X-Files: I Want To Believe (£6.99) is written by American mystery writer Max Allan Collins, who has previously adapted “Saving Private Ryan”, “The Mummy and Bones” and written comics including Batman, CSI, and Road To Perdition, which inspired the film of the same name.
Titan will also publish six classic original “The X-Files” novels on 27th June. They are priced £6.99 and feature new cover designs and behind-the-scenes material. The books are Goblins, Skin, Whirlwind, Ruins, Ground Zero and Antibodies.
