New finance chief at Macmillan

Macmillan has appointed Jonathan Wheeldon into a newly created post as chief financial officer. Wheeldon comes from a background in the music and entertainment industry, most recently at EMI Music, and is currently researching media/technology convergence for media businesses.
He will report to Macmillan c.e.o. Annette Thomas. She said: “Macmillan is poised for an exciting period of further growth and investment, and Jonathan, as CFO, will play a critical role in working with me and his colleagues at Macmillan in developing and implementing the forward-looking business strategy.”
