Anderson honoured with Gerry Davies award
Willie Anderson has been awarded the Gerry Davies award for services to bookselling. Announcing the award today at the BA Conference, BA president Graham Rand said Anderson was "someone who really cares about the people in the book industry".
Accepting the award, Anderson, who is stepping down as deputy chairman of academic bookseller John Smith & Son, said he was "delighted".
"It's a great trade, and I'm not [going] out of it by any means."
