BBC acquires new Stein
BBC Books has acquired a new recipe book from Rick Stein to be published this autumn.
Bought from agent Barbara Levy, Rick Stein's Coast to Coast is a collection of more than 130 of Stein's favourite recipes from around the world.
Chapters are organised by region, with California inspiring healthy salads and light lunches inspired by Japanese sashimi or Mediterranean tapas, for example. The book will be published on 2nd October, priced £20.
Stein is one of the top chefs in the UK and appears regularly on TV throughout the year. "Mediterranean Escapes" broadcast twice in 2007, and a new TV series is due in 2009.
